Chief Pete Haithcock 1101 
Chief Haithcock joined the department in 1976 and was appointed Chief in 1998 by the Town of Franklin as the first full time Chief.  He has served as the President of the Western North Carolina Association of Firefighters and Macon County Firemens Association. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the NC Army National Guard.
 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 Asst. Chief Tim Chavis 1102
Asst. Chief Chavis has been with the department for eleven years and is a full time employee with the fire department. He has been Asst. Chief for four years and is also a medical first responder. He is a level II Firefighter and a member of the Macon County Arson Team.
 
 
 
 
 






 
 
 
Asst. Chief / Comm. Officer Matthew Breedlove 1103
Asst. Chief Breedlove has been on the department for 7 years and is in his third year as Asst. Chief. He serves as a police officer with the Franklin Police Department. He is a EMT-B, a level II Firefighter and a member of the Macon County Arson Team.

Carey has been with the department for 12 years and is serving as 1st lieutenant. He is a career firefighter for the Dekalb County Ga Fire Department. He is a level II Firefighter, EMT-I and a Haz-mat Tech. He also owns and operates his own landscaping business here in Franklin.















2nd Lieutenant / Training Officer Bo Garrison 1106
Bo has been in the fire service for thirteen years and five years with Franklin Fire & Rescue. He currently serves as 2nd lieutenant and is also a medical first responder and also a member of the Macon County Arson Team. He is a level II Firefighter. He is employed by NC DOT.

2nd Lieutenant Justin Setser 1107
Justin has been with the department for seven years and is serving as 2nd lieutenant.  He is employed in the Macon County Mapping office as a GIS Analyst. He is a third generation firemen and is also a level II Firefighter.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Rescue Lieutenant John Hook 1109
John Hook has been with the department for eleven years. He is  a medical first responder and a level I Firefighter. He is employed by Macon County Government as the Animal Control Director.

Safety Officer / Training Officer Keith Allen 1110
 Keith has over 18 years experience and 14 of those years have been with Franklin Fire - Rescue. Keith has been training officer for ten years. He currently serves as Safety officer. He is also a medical first responder, a level II firefighter, a certified instructor and a member of the Macon County Arson Team. He is employed at LBJ Job Corp.

Ryan has been with the department for three years. He is employed with Macon County Emergency Services as an EMT-I.

 Firefighter Rick Rogers 1112
Rick has been with the department for 11 years. Rick is a medical first responder and is the carpentry teacher at Franklin High School.
 







 
Firefighter Jim Tempelton 1113
Jim has been with the department for 15 years. He is an EMT-B and a level Il Firefighter.

Firefighter Gregg Day 1114
Gregg has been with the department for 20 years. He has served in the fire service for 31 years and was a founding member of the Nantahala Vol. Fire and Rescue  department. He is a level II Firefighter, a medical first responder and a certified Fire Instuctor.

Max has been with the department for 28 years. He responsible for the NC State Firemens Relief Fund for  Franklin Fire and Rescue. He is also a level II Firefighter and is employed at Verizon.

Todd has been with the department for 10 years. Todd is the Lead Dispatcher for Macon County Emergency Services. He is an EMT-B.

Michael has been with the department for four years. He has recently graduated from Western Carolina University with a BS Degree in history. He is employed at LBJ Job Corp.

Jr. has been with the department for 19 years and is a level I firefighter. He owns his own plumbing business. He is also a Vietnam Veteran.

David has been with the department for 30 years and is a medical first responder. He is a NC State Public school teacher. He is also a Desert Storm veteran.

Joe has been with the department for five years. He has worked on writing grants for the department and is  serving as a Training Officer and Chaplain. He is a EMT-B and a level II Firefighter. Joe is president of Dometrics, Inc.

Jerry has over 24 years with the department and served as Lieutenant for 10 years. He is an engineer for Duke Energy.
