Chief / Emergency Management Dir. Warren Cabe 1101
Warren served as the Macon County Director of Emergency Services from 1996 to 2011 and has also served as the Assistant Fire Chief at the Clarks Chapel Fire and Rescue. Warren has been in the fire service since 1988. Warren is a graduate of Mars Hill College where he received his B.S. in Business Administration, and a graduate of Southwestern CC where he received his North Carolina  EMT and Paramedic Certification.
 



 
 
 

 
 Asst. Chief Tim Chavis 1102
Asst. Chief Chavis has been with the department since 2000 as a full time employee. He has been in the fire service since 1998. He is serving Asst. Chief and is also a medical first responder. He is a level II Firefighter and a member of the Macon County Arson Team.
 
 
 
 
 








 
 
 

 
Asst. Chief Gregg Day 1103
Asst. Chief Day has been with the department since 1989. He has been in the fire service since 1983 and was a founding member of the Nantahala Vol. Fire and Rescue department. He is a level II Firefighter, a medical first responder and a certified Fire Instuctor.

2nd Lieutenant Justin Setser 1106
Justin has been with the department since 2002 and is serving as 2nd lieutenant.  Justin is also the webmaster for Franklin Fire & Rescue. He is employed in the Macon County Mapping office as a GIS Analyst. He is a third generation firemen and is also a level II Firefighter.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


 

 
 
 
2nd Lieutenant John Hook 1107
John Hook has been with the department since 1997. He is  a medical first responder and a level I Firefighter. He is employed by Macon County Government as the Animal Control Director.

Safety Officer / Training Officer Keith Allen 1108
Keith has been in the fire service since 1989 and with Franklin since 1995. Keith has been training officer for ten years. He currently serves as Safety officer. He is also a medical first responder, a level II firefighter, a certified instructor and a member of the Macon County Arson Team. He is employed at LBJ Job Corp.

Rick has been with the department since 1996. Rick is a medical first responder and is the carpentry teacher at Franklin High School.
 








 
Firefighter Jim Tempelton 1113
Jim has been with the department since 1992. He is an EMT-B a level Il Firefighter and is a member of the Macon County Arson Team. He is employeed at Parkdale Inc. in Ga.

Max has been with the department since 1978. He is responsible for the NC State Firemens Relief Fund for  Franklin Fire and Rescue. He is also a level II Firefighter and is employed at Frontier.

Firefighter Carey Patton 1116
Carey has been with the department since 1997. He is a career firefighter for the Dekalb County Ga Fire Department. He is a level II Firefighter, EMT-I and a Haz-mat Tech. He also owns and operates his own landscaping business here in Franklin.

Todd has been with the department since 1998. Todd is the Lead Dispatcher for Macon County Emergency Services. He is an EMT-B.

Alan is a full time paid fireman for Franklin Fire and Rescue and has been with the department since 2010. He has been a vol. fireman with Cowee Fire Dept. since 1998. He is a Level II fireman, instructor and live burn instructor. He is also certified in ERT and is an EMT-B.

Jacob is a probationary fireman.  Jacob is the Vice President of the Macon County Firemen's Association. He is employed with Macon County Dispatch.

Seth has been with the department sent 2011 and is a probationary fireman. He is an EMT-B and is employed at the Macon County Garage as a mechanic.

Joe has been with the department since 2006. He has worked on writing grants for the department and is serving as Chaplain. He is a EMT-B and a level II Firefighter. Joe is president of Dometrics, Inc.

Jerry has been with the department since 1983 and served as Lieutenant for 10 years. He is an engineer for Duke Energy.

Firefighter Pete Haithcock 1134
Firefighter Haithcock joined the department in 1976 and was appointed Chief in 1998 by the Town of Franklin as the first full time Chief.  He has served as the President of the Western North Carolina Association of Firefighters and Macon County Firemens Association. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the NC Army National Guard.
